Gaia Construction
Welcome to my Website!
My name is Patrick Poissant. I have been in the renovation business my whole life. As a 7 year old child, my father took me to work and started to teach me the trades. At 11 year old, we build my uncle a house, pretty much on our own... My father was a typical Jack of all trades; he did it all... So he thought me all as well! By the time I was thirteen, I was his foreman all summer, supervising his 3-4 employees on big renovation projects. My father was a very good man with strong ethics so he taught me to put quality into my work. "Don't cut corners", he used to say.
I am deeply indebted to him.
Since then, I have followed in my fathers footsteps and have built on everything that he taught me, perfecting many of the skills he initially trained me in and adding a variety of experience to them.
To me, contracting is more than a job; I am helping home owners improve their living space, often making their dreams come true! There is nothing more rewarding than hearing from clients, years after the work has been done, that they have deeply appreciated their new living space. Living in a beautiful and practical house that fits your tastes is so important; it helps you deal with the stresses of modern life...
I also care about the Earth (as the trade name implies) and as such I am always careful to not waste and to recycle as much as possible. I am also aware of health risks associated with various commonly used products and always advise my clients so that they create healthy living spaces for themselves and their family.
Gaia was the goddess or personification of Earth in ancient Greek religion, one of the Greek primordial deities. (Wikipedia)
